He started as a 34 year old \"rookie\" in 1949 for the Cleveland Indians and played through to 1954. He hit 28, 27, and 31 home runs between 1950 and 1952.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCavarretta had a long career, mostly with the Chicago Cubs, winning the NL batting title and MVP in 1945.
