I built OldHockeyCards.shop as a “Retirement Project”, primarily to move some of the extra items I’ve accumulated over the years, and also to keep my brain occupied when I am not doing my other passions, like playing hockey, golfing, riding my bike, or travelling.
I’ve collected for decades, accumulating many extras. Sometimes I would buy a lot and only need one card, and other times I have upgraded a card. In some cases, I opened the packs in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. What you see here are my extras, not my PC. What you won't see here is anything from this century.
I tried to build this in a way I would like to navigate a site. Raw cards are scanned with a black background, to see the corners and edges. Scans are at 600dpi, and so flaws actually appear harsher than they are to the naked eye.
If you’re looking drill down, easy to use check boxes are available to break down years, manufacturers, graded or raw, and other criteria. I’ve tried to identify Rookie Cards (RC) and Hall of Famers (HOF) that you can search (check out the FAQ’s). If you pop in to see the newest items I’ve listed, Sort by “Added Recently”. I also leave sold items up so folks can see what the price was. No secrets here.
